Expected Benefits and Achievements

Powerful, robust and high throughput laboratory assays will be developed, together with “dip-stick” type tests. This combination will allow the EU member countries to improve the diagnosis of OIE List A viruses both in the diagnostic institutes and on site, as a front-line diagnosis.

The outcome of the project will benefit EU consumer driven concerns with regard to animal welfare, and food quality.
